Appraisals
There are three types of appraisals you might need:
Fair Market Appraisals
for donation or estate tax purposes.
Marketable Cash Value Appraisals
for loan collateral purposes.
Retail Replacement Value Appraisals
for insurance purposes.
I am a member of the Appraisers Association of America, the premier national association of personal property appraisers who focus on fine and decorative arts.
As a member of the AAA, I am required to be certified in the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), a set of standards established by the Appraisal Foundation, the foremost authority on the valuation profession in the United States. I am also required to undergo refresher training in USPAP every two years to keep abreast of changes in appraisal law.
In addition to being a member of the Appraisers Association of America, I have passed a comprehensive examination on American art and have been certified by them for my expertise in that specialty.
